Alone by choice – for those who aren’t
Liam Labrosse reached the summit of the Lagginhorn in Switzerland (4,010 m). And as if that achievement were not already impressive enough, he dedicated his ascent to SOS Détresse under the slogan “Alone by choice – for those who aren’t”, a gesture that touches us deeply.
Through this initiative, he is drawing attention to those who suffer from loneliness and have no one to talk to — or who simply need a neutral and anonymous person to listen — and who can find a listening ear at SOS Détresse, both by phone and online.
No matter how heavy loneliness may feel, whether one feels at the top of a mountain or deep down in a valley, everyone is welcome to contact us. No problem is too big or too small.
