Need to talk – anonymously?

Our lines are open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday nights also until 3 a.m..

You can call on 45 45 45 – we will be listening to you.

On the phone, we speak Luxembourgish, French and German. If you wish to communicate in English, Spanish or Portuguese, please write to SOS OnlineHelp.

Who can call us?

Any person who:

  • feels alone and isolated
  • has to face a tough decision
  • feels under pressure
  • is suffering from stress and anxieties
  • is suffering from depression
  • hs relationship and family problems
  • has to overcome a separation
  • is ill or taking care of someone who is ill
  • has suffered a bereavement or loss

Anyone who is looking for a frank and confidential support service can contact us – whether you want help to discuss your options and see things more clearly, or you want to explore your feelings, or share your problems and worries.

It is important to understand that anyone can contact us. You can get in touch about anything that’s troubling you, no matter how large or small the issue.

Our support service is confidential, and honest. You talk in your own way, as much or as little as you like. You do not have to give your name or personal information if you do not want to. We support everyone.

We will always be understanding and considerate, regardless of the situation you find yourself in or the reason for the call.

People answering the phone are not psychologists or therapists, they are intrested and qualified volunteers.

Our approach to supporting:

  • in order to ease a burden
  • to find clarity and direction
  • or support and comfort
  • Other people contact us in order to know how to manage a difficult discussion, or to tackle a confrontation
  • Some take advantage of the dialogue in order to regain the motivation, courage and strength, that they need to cope better with a situation.

If you want specific advice or therapy, we may be able to give you contact details for organisations that specialize in helping with a problem you may have.

You can contact us as many times as you like either, by phone or by email. However, we cannot guarantee that the same person will pick up the phone each time you call. We are unfortunately unable to give appointments and cannot call you back.

Our support service cannot be considered a therapy!

We do our best to offer support over the telephone or by email, knowing that it can lead to profound changes.

Because of the delayed answers to email, the OnlineHelp is not a crisis intervention service and cannot intervene in an emergency situation.
